VOX Learner ("VOX", "we", "us") is an AI-powered learning app. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and your rights.

1. Data we collect

Category	Examples
Account	Name, email address, password (stored hashed), preferred language.
Learning content & progress	Quizzes, flashcards, study plans, answers, XP, streaks, badges, daily challenges, missions, credits.
Voice	Microphone audio you record for speaking practice / speech-to-text. Audio is sent to our servers and speech providers to produce a transcript, then discarded.
Usage & device	Feature usage, app diagnostics, device/OS type, approximate time zone.
Payments	Purchase records (amount, status). Card/bank details are handled by the payment provider — we do not store them.
Notifications	Push token (if you enable reminders).

2. How we use your data

• Provide and personalize the learning features you request.
• Generate AI content (quizzes, flashcards, tutoring, translations, summaries, images, speech).
• Track progress, streaks, XP, credits, missions and send reminders you opt into.
• Process purchases and maintain your credit balance.
• Keep the service secure and diagnose problems.

3. Third-party services (sub-processors)

To deliver AI and payment features we send the minimum necessary data to:

• Anthropic (Claude) — AI tutoring and content generation.
• OpenAI — flashcard image generation.
• ElevenLabs — text-to-speech and speech-to-text.
• Google — translation and on-device/fallback speech recognition.
• PayOS — payment processing (web).
• Firebase (Google) — push notifications.

We do not sell your personal data.

4. Data retention & deletion

We keep your data while your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from within the app (Profile → Delete account) or by emailing us. Deleting your account permanently removes your personal data and learning content; anonymous, aggregated statistics may be retained.

5. Security

Data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS) and access is restricted. No method is 100% secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.

6. Children

VOX is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will remove it.

7. Your rights

You may access, correct, export or delete your data. Contact us to exercise these rights.

8. Changes

We may update this policy; the "last updated" date will change. Material changes will be communicated in the app.
